Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how VertX processes information required to operate the Discord bot and dashboard.
1. Information VertX may process
- Discord user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, usernames, and server metadata.
- Configuration selected by authorized server administrators.
- Moderation cases, warnings, ticket records, reaction-role mappings, level/economy records, polls, giveaways, and notification settings.
- Server activity such as message edits/deletes, joins/leaves, voice-state changes, role changes, and command usage when the applicable logging feature is enabled.
- Message content only when a configured feature needs it, such as AutoMod, tickets, or message-content logging.
2. How information is used
Information is used to provide requested bot features, enforce permissions, maintain server-specific configuration, create transcripts or audit records, prevent abuse, and operate the dashboard.
3. Server isolation
Guild-specific data is intended to remain scoped to the Discord server that created it. VertX does not intentionally expose one server's private configuration, logs, tickets, or member records to administrators of another server.
4. Direct messages
VertX does not use private Discord direct-message content as a general monitoring source. A direct message may be processed when a user intentionally interacts with VertX or when a configured feature sends information such as a ticket transcript.
5. Activity and message logging
Server administrators control whether activity logging is enabled and which channel receives logs. Communities should disclose message-content logging where appropriate. Bot-authored audit messages are excluded from recursive message logging.
6. Third-party services
VertX relies on Discord and may use payment, hosting, or notification providers. Those services process information under their own privacy terms.
7. Security and retention
VertX uses access checks and server scoping to reduce unauthorized access. Administrators should grant only the Discord permissions necessary for enabled features. Data may be retained as needed for configured functionality and operational integrity.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated when VertX features, infrastructure, or legal requirements change.
9. Contact
Privacy and support questions can be raised through the official VertX support server linked from the dashboard.
Bot Installation Metadata
When VertX is added to or removed from a Discord server, VertX may retain limited operational metadata including the server ID and name, server owner ID, approximate member count, installation/removal time, and—when Discord audit-log permissions allow—the ID of the user who installed the bot. This information is used for service operations, support, billing, abuse prevention, and aggregate installation tracking.
VertX does not use this installation telemetry to copy private server messages, ticket contents, direct messages, or private activity into an owner dashboard.
